leader in his field with more than 25 years of experience in property,
Peter McLeod provides in-depth knowledge and experience as head
of Property Services.
Peter
has an extensive knowledge of property law built over many years
acting for parties on all sides of a property transaction from
receivers and managers to large construction companies and corporate
investors and from individuals purchasing a home to lessors and
tenants. Through this practical experience, Peter has the ability
to determine the most cost effective course of action and advise
on how to avoid issues which may arise during the course of a
transaction.
He
applies his practical understanding to complex property transactions
for both Queensland and national clients including large shopping
centre transactions, office building purchases, purchase and lease-back
transactions, off-the-plan transactions, arranging for security
in a variety of transactions, including construction and real
property sales and leases, strata-titling of existing buildings,
stamp duty minimisation and joint ventures.
Peter
has contributed to various legal journals, providing information
on amendments to legislation and updates on laws affecting property
transactions. He joined MacGillivrays as a partner in 1998. Peter
has also completed the Bar Practice Course.
Peter
is a keen fisherman and enjoys swimming and surfing.
