| Gordon
Perkins joined MacGillivrays Solicitors in 2006 and brings with
him over 20 years experience in the banking industry including
5 years as a senior analyst with the Australian Prudential Regulation
Authority and 15 years experience at a major bank.
Gordon’s
core responsibilities with MacGillivrays are developing and maintaining
banking precedents, updating the Lender program manuals, advising
on legal issues, responding to client queries, responding to inter
office queries, and staff training.
Gordon has supervised and managed the statutory process for financial
institution acquisitions and mergers, including the:
• merger of Credit Union Australia Ltd and Australian National
Credit Union Ltd;
• Banana Coast Credit Union Ltd acquisition of Big River
Credit Union Ltd; and
• Queenslanders Credit Union Ltd acquisition of Media Credit
Union Ltd.
He has also reviewed securitisation schemes and capital instruments
to ensure they complied with the applicable Prudential Standard
and commented on reviews of similar schemes and instruments conducted
by others.
Outside of
work Gordon is passionate about silver smithing and is a keen
fisherman.
